Missing results do not mean zero losses. A connection or recorded order alone does not establish a completed trade’s entry cost and outcome. The retired account is excluded.
Current test engine heartbeat is delayed or unavailable. Recorded days count UTC dates with at least one research run; they do not measure continuous uptime. 1 current journal positions are unfinished.
How to read these results
Win rate = profitable completed trades ÷ all completed trades. Breakeven trades stay in the denominator. Results use the recorded entry price, exit price, and quantity, before fees and other costs. A gross win can become a net loss after costs.
Coverage is the current StocksBob paper test. The retired account and its earlier results are excluded, so this is not an all-time performance figure. Other active connected accounts are checked for recorded activity; without verified completed-trade outcomes, they are shown as awaiting results and contribute neither wins nor losses. These are internally checked journal records, not an independent broker audit or a complete investment return. Backup copies are not counted again. Unfinished positions, partial exits on open trades, and unrealized gains or losses are outside this win-rate calculation.
Paper trading is simulated. A high win rate does not establish profitability, prediction accuracy, or future performance. The record can change as more trades close. Read about assessing performance claims
From research
to a recorded decision.
The StocksBob trading engine researches opportunities, checks them against account rules, and manages authorized trades. Its decisions remain visible in your workspace.
Research the opportunity
The engine reviews market information and available company research, then forms a trading thesis with supporting context.
Check the risk
Account permissions, available buying power, position limits, and risk rules determine whether an opportunity can proceed. A research idea is not automatically an order.
Execute when authorized
Eligible instructions pass through the coordinated broker execution path. Trading mode and account authorization control which actions are available.
Monitor the position
Follow recorded fills, protective orders, and position decisions. Review why the engine holds, reduces, or closes a position.
Automation with explicit controls. Current public results are paper tests. New-user brokerage connections provide read-only views; automated order placement requires separately available trading access and authorization. Connecting an account does not turn trading on.
The details matter.

Is StocksBob an automated trading platform?
Yes. StocksBob combines an automated trading engine with AI research, risk checks, position monitoring, and a portfolio workspace. Current published performance is paper testing. New-user account access and the ability to place automated orders are separate; availability and explicit authorization apply.
Which numbers on this page are live?
The recorded-results section refreshes from the current paper-test journal every minute, with coverage checks for other connected accounts, with a visible timestamp and a stale-data check. Its outcome chart uses recorded closed trades. The portfolio and stock-chart product previews are separately labeled illustrations with synthetic data.
Does a 100% win rate mean there is no risk?
No. It only means every completed trade in that displayed sample had a positive gross result. Check the sample size, older results, losses, costs, and unfinished positions. Win rate is not prediction accuracy, and paper results do not guarantee live results.
Does connecting a brokerage account enable trading?
The new-user account beta provides read-only brokerage views. Connecting an account or saving preferences does not authorize orders. Any trading capability requires its own availability, controls, and authorization.
How should I use AI research?
Use it as context for your own review. Research, confidence estimates, and scenarios can be incomplete or outdated, and do not guarantee an outcome. Check the available timestamps and supporting information.
